Payment Method and Frequency

SoftwareProjects is proud to offer an unmatched selection of supported payment methods, along with fast payments.

By default, payments are processed once a week - every Wednesday. If you generate more than $20,000/month, you are eligible to be paid twice-a-week, every Monday and Wednesday.

Supported payment methods and associated fees:

1. Check (US only, FREE)
2. ACH (US only, FREE)
3. Wire transfer ($40 fee)
4. PayPal (2% fee)
5. Payoneer (FREE)
6. SEPA (EUR only, $10 fee)

You can control the frequency of payments under the affiliate backoffice. In case you prefer to be paid once every other week, or once a month, you can control that under the "Payment Delay" section. Whenever a payment is processed, you will receive an email, letting you know that payment is on the way.

Pay Period End Time

For accounts receiving payments weekly - every Wednesday, pay periods end at 12:00am EST on Friday. For accounts receiving payments twice a week, the pay period for Monday's payment ends at 12:00am EST on Friday and the pay period for Wednesday's payment ends at 12:00am EST on Sunday.

Missing Payments

SoftwareProjects understands the importance of cashflow and getting your money deposited to your bank account as soon as possible. We process a high volume of payments every week and in the majority of cases, payments show up in beneficiary account on schedule.

Unfortunately, sometimes, there are payment delays and misplacements due to circumstances outside of our control. If a scheduled payment has not arrived on time, then please contact our payments team at payments@SoftwareProjects.com. They will be happy to help you and ensure that you receive your payment.

Payment Threshold

You can set a minimum payment threshold amount within your affiliate account to avoid paying processing fees, unless your payment is above a configured number. If you see "Threshold" under your payments screen, it means the system blocked issuing a payment to you, because the amount was below the configured threshold.

Payment Threshold is initially limited to 30 days delay from first commission earned. Within 30 days from earning the first commission, you will have the option of adjusting the payment threshold to your preference.

Initial Payment

SoftwareProjects will withhold payment of any balance (regardless of the indicated Threshold) until the first commission for a client is more than 30 days old.

In addition, you must have five (5) unique purchases as part of our Initial Payment requirement.

This requirement is in place to protect SoftwareProjects Affiliate program from fraudulent activity.

Your account will then generate payments automatically, in accordance with our Payment terms, beginning with the next scheduled pay period.

Retail and Wholesale Pricing

Products sold through SoftwareProjects have a retail and wholesale price. Suppliers recommend a suggested retail price for their products. SoftwareProjects reviews the suggested retail price from the supplier and determines the final retail price.

SoftwareProjects purchases the Product from our suppliers at a wholesale price, which can vary by Product type, price, and currency, and resells the Product to the customer.

The wholesale price SoftwareProjects pays suppliers is typically 90% of the suggested retail. If an Affiliate generated the sale, a commission is applied to the referring Affiliate according to the agreed upon commission payout.

Affiliate Commission Plans

SoftwareProjects supports three affiliate commission plans:

  • CPL (Pay Per Lead): Affiliates earn a one-time-fee, per every lead signup they generate. Commission is earned, regardless of whether or not the lead converts into a paying customer.
  • CPA (Pay Per Customer): Affiliates earn a one-time-fee per every paying customer, as soon as the customer places the first order. Whether a customer placed one order or many, affiliates are only paid once per each unique customer.
  • Revshare (Percentage of revenues): Affiliates earn an ongoing percentage of orders placed by customers they referred. In the event of a refund, affiliates lose the commission associated with that order. This commission plan involves an "Allowance Reserve", ensuring there are sufficient funds to cover future refunds.

Commission Payout Limits

In order to avoid accounts going into the negative, SoftwareProjects limits the maximum commission payout to affiliates.

Regardless of the commission plan, the total commission payout is never allowed to exceed (Average Order Value) - (Refund Rate) - 10%.

For example, if a product generates an average order value of $100 and the average refund rate is 10%, the maximum commission payout will be $100-10%-10% = $80

Brand new products with no refund data, are permitted a maximum commission payout rate of 85%

Joint Ventures

SoftwareProjects allows both suppliers and affiliates to participate in "Joint Venture Marketing Partnerships", with other suppliers and affiliates. Joint Venture partnerships are agreements between two affiliates, or an affiliate and supplier, to team-up on the marketing side, then divide net revenues among themselves.

SoftwareProjects supports up to 5 participants in a JV, with each individual earning a preconfigured percentage of the net revenues. For example, the supplier can be configured to earn 60% of the net revenues, while the remaining 40% get divided among the affiliates participating in the JV. Each participating affiliate can be set to earn a different percentage of the 40%.

Allowance Reserve

An allowance is a small portion of your earnings that will be held in reserve to cover any refunds that may come through. The allowance amount is determined by the average refund rate of the offer you promote and is typically 10%. If you are promoting an offer with a higher refund rate, the allowance may increase to ensure that your account does not go negative.

Allowances are held for 60 days, to cover the typical refund window offered by most product owners. The allowance amount will be released every 60 days, and will be included in your next payment cycle following the release date.

In the event your account balance is negative, or the system detected significant fluctuation in your volume, the allowance may be held for a longer period of time, but never longer than 6 months.

Affiliate Determination

SoftwareProjects utilizes a "last touch" affiliate referral system. The last affiliate referral link a customer clicked on, prior to placing an order, will count towards crediting a commission to the referring affiliate. The cookie lifetime is set to 90 days.

Any decision made by this system is final and not subject to petition or appeal. Though we believe our tracking system to be more fair and accurate than any alternative, we make no representation regarding the ability of the system to track any specific customer, for any specific length of time.

W9 Form

U.S. based affiliate and suppliers earning over $600 are required to have a taxpayer ID number linked to their account.

The taxpayer ID number input in the account must match the payee listed on the account. This means:

  • If you have a business name as the payee, you must input the EIN into your account that matches the payee. Be sure to use the proper 9-digit format including dashes: 12-3456789
  • If you have an individual name as the payee, you must input the SSN into your account that matches the payee. Be sure to use the proper 9-digit format including dashes: 123-456-789
  • If you are utilizing a business name but reporting under an individual SSN, you will need to provide an IRS form W-9 to us.
  • If you are a foreign citizen utilizing a US address, but a beneficial resident of a different country, you will need to provide us with an IRS form W-8BEN.
