How to: Export help desk tickets to Microsoft ExcelAdrian Singer, 05-08-2007 |
To export all help desk tickets to Microsoft Excel (or any other program that supports CSV files), login to your SoftwareProjects account, then click on the MyEmailDesk box you would like to export.
Scroll down and you will see a Microsoft Excel button on the bottom right corner:

Click on the Microsoft Excel export icon and it will bring up a screen with various export options:

To export all tickets select "All" under status.
If you're interested in one row per each ticket, showing the current status of each ticket select 'Headers'. If you'd like to see the entire correspondence comprising each ticket, select 'Headers + Full body'
Click on 'Export' and the report will be generated. It can take anywhere from one minute to an hour depending on the volume of tickets you have.
There's no need to keep the report-generation window open.
Once the report is ready, you'll be able to download it under the Report center.
