Tabs, Templates & the Executive DashboardAdrian Singer, 01-19-2009 |
Every time you login to your SoftwareProjects account, you are immediately presented with an executive dashboard, showing charts and quick stats about your online business.
Each service you add to your account, is represented on the executive dashboard by a small box, showing quick stats and providing easy one-click access to drill-down and manage the service.
For example, when you add the Customer Manager service, you will see a box showing new customer trends, total active customers, number of new customers today and yesterday, all neatly displayed on your dashboard.
Almost all of our services come with a 30 day trial period, so feel free to play around, add new services and let us help.
Page Tabs
Tabs let you re-arrange the service boxes displayed on your executive dashboard by category.
For example you can have one tab named "My eBay Business" and another tab named "My Website". Or one tab for "Sales", one for "Customer Support" and one for "Marketing".
By grouping services under separate tabs, you can still enjoy a quick birds-eye view of your business, without getting the dashboard too cluttered.
To create a new tab, click the '+' icon at the top navigation bar. You can drag & drop service boxes into tabs and you can re-arrange the order of tabs by clicking on a tab button and sliding it around.
To rename a tab, click on it once, wait a second and click again. An in-place edit box will show up allowing you to rename the tab.

Another way to spice up your dashboard pages, is by picking a different page layout for each page.
Templates
Why settle for the same boring look & feel? Templates allow you to keep things interesting, by applying a unique look & feel to individual pages.
We assign templates on a page level. This means you can apply different templates to different pages, making it easier to tell what category / department you are working on.
To select a new template for your executive dashboard pages, scroll down and click on the 'Page Template' link.
