Yahoo.com Email Blocking

Question from one of our readers:

A lot of people with Yahoo accounts don’t receive my emails but when they send me an email and I reply to it they get it. Do you know why this happens?

Thanks,
Justin

Justin - I would suspect it has to do with your email signature. Looking at the email you sent us, your email signature contains an image - your company logo.

Yahoo is notorious for automatically blocking messages from new senders that contain images (like the one in your signature). Once Yahoo users send you an email, you are automatically added to their contact list and Yahoo no longer considers you a new sender.

If you're manually sending a few emails to new prospects, the easiest way to avoid getting blocked would be to remove the image from your signature.

If, however, you are looking to automate this process and send predesigned messages to your prospects as soon as they signup on your website, I would invite you to look into SoftwareProjects Whitelisted Email delivery service.
