BlogRush: The Latest Way to Generate Blog TrafficTyler Banfield, 09-17-2007 |
After much anticipation, John Reese officially launched BlogRush this weekend. If you are wondering what BlogRush is, here's the description straight from the homepage:
The core of the BlogRush program is the widget (shown below):

After you sign-up for the program, you can place the widget on your blog(s). Based on the category that your blog is in, the widget will display the titles of posts from relevant blogs.
The amount of times your post titles are displayed on other widgets is directly based on the amount of traffic you receive. The more traffic your blog receives, the more times your post titles will be displayed throughout the widget network. Additionally, you can receive extra traffic by referring other members. Although the option is not available yet, BlogRush will eventually allow you to use the traffic from your established blogs to send more traffic to any new blogs that you are launching.
Speaking of referrals, if you are looking for a way to gain extra traffic from BlogRush, you can get a piece of the estimated 45,000 impressions a day that Shoemoney will be receiving from BlogRush. To find out more about how you can get a piece of this traffic, read Shoemoney's full post from Sunday.
Important Note: Unlike programs such as the Digital Point Co-Op, BlogRush is 100% Javascript. This means that you won't have to worry about any reciprocal linking penalties from Google. As Shoemoney said in his first BlogRush post, "I think this might be the first cooperative link network matt cutts might even get behind
."
If you have any additional questions about the BlogRush program, check out the introductory video on the BlogRush homepage.
