Google Dance Update Schedule 2004 - 2006

Adrian Singer, 12-26-2006
The Google Dance is a term used to explain the phenomenon of frequent shifts in rankings while Google updates its database.

During the update process, some sites will see fluctuations in their search engine rankings, page ranking and number of reported back links.

The chart below shows Google Dance schedule between 2004 and 2006. Note Google updates different parts of its index at different times, so you might see an increase in the number of reported back links before you see an update to your Google PageRank.

According to our estimates, the next BackLinks/PR update is expected to take place January of 2007.
